Directions to the Annenberg Institute

Hoppin House, 383 Benefit Street, Providence, Rhode Island


If you are flying to Providence:
T.F. Green Airport is 20 minutes south of Providence in Warwick, Rhode Island. Your cab or shuttle driver will know how to get to Benefit Street "on the East Side" in Providence. Ask to be dropped off at the #2 John Street entrance. Or if you are renting a car at T.F. Green Airport, head north to Providence on route 95N. Follow driving directions below.

If you are driving to Providence:

From Route 95 North or South

• take Exit 20 onto 195 East (Cape Cod); move immediately into the right-hand exit-only lane so that you can take Exit #2 "Wickenden Street/India Point."
• Turn left at the off-ramp stoplight, passing under the highway, onto Wickenden Street.
• At the first traffic light on Wickenden, turn left onto Benefit Street
• The fourth cross street on Benefit is John Street. Hoppin House is at the corner of Benefit and John. On street parking is available adjacent to the house. Enter the building via the #2 John Street entrance.
• Please check in with the receptionist, seated just beyond the foyer.

From Route 195 West

• take Exit #2 "South Main Street."
• As you exit the ramp, get over in the right lane immediately and take the second right onto John Street.
• Proceed one block up the hill until you reach Benefit Street. Our building is the large brown building, diagonally across the street on the left, at the corner of Benefit and John Streets.
• On street parking is available adjacent to the house. Enter the building via the #2 John Street entrance.
• Please check in with the receptionist, seated just beyond the foyer.
