- The New York State Statistics website by the Rockefeller Institute provides statistical information covering demographics, economics, elections, government finance, public safety, housing, education, health, energy.
- The New York City Housing and Neighborhood Information System (NYCHANIS) offers easy access to education and demographic data; includes mapping capabilities.
- The New York City Independent Budget Office, a publicly funded agency, provides budgetary, economic, and policy analysis for the residents of the city and their elected officials.
For advanced analysis, several public sources are available for New York City, New York State and national data.
- The New York City Department of Education website contains academic achievement, graduation rates, student demographics, teacher characteristics, School Based Expenditure Reports, and much more for all New York City schools.
