Capacity Building in Communities
The Institute works to help develop community engagement strategies and build communities’ capacity to advocate for and support education reform through national partnerships and through working with community organizing collaboratives in New York. These efforts have produced important frameworks, new knowledge, strategies, and products, as well as significant shifts in power relationships, which have brought parents and young people into the process of making critical decisions about their schools.
