At this day-long conference, running from 8:30am to 5:30pm, current students in Brown University's Urban Education Policy Masters Program (UEP) will present their findings from research conducted during their 9-month-long academic internships in the field of urban education policy. AISR collaborates with the Education Department at Brown University to offer the UEP master’s degree program.
Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (EDT)
All of the presentations will relate to creating, supporting, and maintaining an equitable education system.
Student presenters will be organized into four panels:
- Assessing and monitoring conditions for student success
- College readiness and persistence efforts
- Supportive conditions for successful student outcomes
- Engaging and ensuring the quality of education stakeholders
Each panel will consist of 4-5 students with two discussants, one faculty and one local leader in the field, to prompt questions and push discussion.
We look forward to seeing you there for an exciting and thought provoking day of presentation and discussion of pertinent issues facing urban education policy.
