Hans Fricke

Hans is the Director of Quantitative Research of the CORE-PACE Research Partnership at Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), Stanford University. He is also an affiliated researcher of the Annenberg Institute at Brown; together with Susanna Loeb he is leading several experimental interventions to support parents and educators. Prior to this position at PACE, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Stanford University Center for Education Policy Analysis. He received his Master’s (Diplom Univ.) in International Economics from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2011 and his Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Gallen in 2016. His doctoral thesis analyzed determinants of student performance and major choices in higher education. His research interest focus on education policy, behavioral interventions in education, social-emotional learning, and causal analysis.
