Lily An is a Research Analyst in the Education Department at Brown University for Professor John Papay. Her work looks at comparisons of student growth over time and the effects of state student assessment policies on long-run outcomes. Her research interests include educational measurement, effects and uses of test or evaluation scores, and causal inference methods. She received her Ed.M. `18 in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and her B.A. `15 in Mathematics/Statistics from Williams College. Prior to enrolling in her master's program, she was an Equity Research Analyst at J.P. Morgan and conducted math education research at the University of Connecticut.
