June 2016

The Ford Foundation and AISR convened an Emerging Knowledge Forum in May 2016 of the More and Better Learning Time (MBLT) grantee community on "Closing Opportunity Gaps and Expanding Educational Equity" to reflect on successes and challenges to inform the work of the future.

As the Foundation winds down the more and better learning time initiative, grantees reflected on successes and challenges with a look toward the future. A spirited and empowering set of presentations and discussions addressed how engagement in MBLT has advanced social justice, how local ecosystems have built collective capacity for more and better learning time, and the process for achieving long-term sustainability of more and better learning time in America’s most underserved communities.
