IMPROVEMENT:
PART OF DAILY PRACTICE
Schools increasingly see improvement as a permanent part of their practice, not a one-time or occasional event.

The School-Improvement Guide describes a school self-study cycle of inquiry and action, designed to help a school community develop the habits of collaboration, discussion, inquiry, and data-informed decision making that fuel ongoing improvement.

The Guide can be used by

  • state and district administrators, to apply a consistent and effective approach in all their schools;

  • school-level administrators or other stakeholders, to respond to external requirements or to start their own improvement process.

Note: The School-Improvement Guide is also available in a print version.
