Vianna Alcantara is a research associate on AISR's Research & Policy team. Before joining AISR, she served as a community engagement fellow at the Greater Lawrence (MA) Community Action Council, Inc., and the alumni coordinator for the Lawrence Family Development Charter School. Previously, she was the Leadership Academy middle school director at La Vida, Inc., which offers college access for low-income students in Lynn, Massachusetts. She earned a BA in international and women’s studies from Denison University, where she was a Posse Foundation Scholar, and an MEd in community engagement from Merrimack College. She is a native of the Dominican Republic.
