Senior Research Associate
Using a range of quantitative methods, I study issues of equity and effectiveness in civic education policy in the US and internationally. I draw on perspectives from education, psychology, economics, and political science. Additionally, I oversee the development of EdInstruments, a library of educational measurement tools funded by the Institute of Education Sciences and the Gates Foundation. Prior to joining the Annenberg Institute, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tübingen. I received a PhD in educational policy from Michigan State University and an MA in education and social policy from New York University.
