Senior Research Associate
Savage’s current research is focused on civic education and youth civic development, including issues of effectiveness (e.g., the causal effects of teachers) and equity (i.e., access to resources and opportunities). His work has been published in AERA Open, Educational Researcher, Journal of Curriculum Studies, and Teaching and Teacher Education.
Prior to joining the Annenberg Institute, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Tübingen. He received a PhD in educational policy from Michigan State University and an MA in education and social policy from New York University.
